There’s no meal quite like dim sum. Communal and celebratory, dim sum holds a cherished place in Chinese American culture, as well as cities across the country. For the past several years, Resy has been documenting the exciting landscape of Chinese American cuisine through our ongoing Chinatown USA project, and we know that dim sum halls — and the communities that support them — are more important than ever. And so, Resy and Amex Gold are celebrating dim sum through a national event series this fall. Join us as we visit five cities and work with five Chinese American restaurants and their chefs for a very special dim sum experience.
This event will take place in five cities throughout November: New York, Boston, L.A., Washington, D.C., and San Francisco. In each city, a Chinese American restaurant and their chefs (see list below) will work with Nom Wah — whose operations include a century-old institution in Manhattan’s Chinatown — to create a very special, one-of-a-kind dim sum experience. These menus will be available for one weekend only.
Following the events, a donation will be made to the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund, a national organization founded in 1974 that protects and promotes the civil rights of Asian Americans.

On October 3 at 10:00 a.m. ET, American Express® Gold Card Members will receive exclusive 72-hour early access to tickets. Payment must be made with an eligible American Express Gold Card. Terms apply.* If you have a Gold Card, you can add it to your Resy profile here to unlock reservation access.
On October 6 at 10:00 a.m. ET, tickets will open to the general public.
Tickets are $60 per person plus tax. There is no minimum age requirement to purchase a ticket, but guests must be 21 years of age to consume alcohol. Tickets are subject to availability.

Amex® Gold Card x Resy Present: The Dim Sum Experience event will take place on select dates between November 5 and November 20 in select markets. To participate, you can make a paid reservation on Resy.com or through the Resy iOS app. Tickets go on sale beginning October 3rd, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. ET for American Express® Gold Card Members who have linked their Cards to their Resy profile and purchase their ticket with that card. American Express Gold Card Members will have exclusive access to tickets and primetime reservation slots for 72 hours before the general public. Tickets go on sale to the general public on October 6th, 2022, at 10:00am ET. Tickets are first-come, first-served. A breakdown of what is included in the ticket price is accessible at resy.com/dim-sum. All sales are final, non-refundable, and resale is prohibited. Must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcoholic beverages. Please drink responsibly.
