Where do chefs and restaurateurs go and, more importantly, where do they love to eat? In Resy Regulars, we ask Resy chefs and industry folks to tell us where they’re regulars.

Alex Raij is one half of the New York restaurant powerhouse couple behind Txikito, Saint Julivert Fisherie, and La Vara, which she owns and operates with her husband, Eder Montero. She’s also a Lower East Sider who enjoys friendly, approachable service and places with a bit of hype around them. And she also happens to be a mother to two kids who are eager eaters.

“[My kids are] in middle school and high school, but we’ve been going to these places forever,” Raij says. “They’re a part of our family fabric. They’re places that are established, that have something for everyone, and treat both old people and young people nicely.”

She lent us her advice (and briefly, the advice of her daughter) on where to take your family for a meal in the city — frozen beers for parents included but not required.
