Liz Grossman

Chicago Contributor

Liz started her journalism career as an intern at Chicago Magazine, and is thrilled to still be covering restaurants in the city she’s called home for 25 years. She’s the former editor-in-chief of Plate, an award-winning magazine that served the professional chef industry. As co-founder of the nonprofit storytelling series Between Bites, she is passionate about live storytelling and giving back to Chicago’s food community. Liz has moderated and spoken on panels for FAB, Mise, Niman Ranch, Worlds of Flavor, and Plate Talks. Besides writing for Resy, she regularly contributes to Chicago, Food Service Director, Flavor & the Menu, and Restaurant Development + Design. A native of Wisconsin, she holds a special place in her heart for supper clubs and is a brandy old fashioned purist. She’ll eat pickles and capers all day, but won’t touch an olive.
