Five Things In Atlanta Not to Miss This Month

  • Celebrate Juneteenth: In Atlanta, there’s no overstating the contributions of Black restaurateurs and chefs. Support them by making a Resy for the 19th at treasures like Southern National, Bread & Butterfly, Bomb Biscuit Co., Apt 4B, Twisted Soul and Oreatha’s at the Point, among others.
  • 40 Nights of Platinum: Some good news for Amex Platinum card members — local faves (and hard-to-get tables) Lyla Lila and BoccaLupo are both participating in 40 Nights of Platinum, with opportunities to get exclusive dibs on select Resys this month. Been trying to score a seat? Now’s your moment.
  • Book “Club”: “Playing from The Rough” author Jimmie James is having a private party at The Chastain on June 12, and as a Resy power user, you’re invited to book this special experience. Tickets include a cocktail reception, a three-course dinner with wine, signed copy of the book, a participation in a special Q&A. Golf tips and inspiration are, of course, par for the course.
  • Pasta Party! Some of the city’s most serious sauce slingers are getting their noodles together for an epic eight-course pasta collaboration at Lazy Betty. Talent from Southern Belle, Georgia Boy, BoccaLupo, Lyla Lila, a mano, and Atlas are showcasing their modern interpretations of what pasta means to them. A sneak peek of the menu is worth bubbling with excitement over. And find more Resy Events here.
  • East Meets East: AAPI month may have just ended, but why not keep the appreciation going? Chef Deuki Hong and journalist Matt Rodbard are on the Atlanta leg of their “KOREAWORLD” book tour and hosting a multi-course, family-style cookbook dinner on June 25 at Chai Pani Decatur. Joining Meherwan Irani will be Jiyeon Lee and Cody Taylor (Heirloom Market BBQ), Sahar Siddiqi, and Doraville’s Minwha Spirits, who’s bringing the soju for a meal with plenty of Seoul by way of Mumbai.
