The Resy Hit List: Where In New York You’ll Want to Eat Right Now

By

There’s no question we hear more often: Where should I go eat? And while we at Resy know it’s an honor to be the friend who everyone asks for restaurant advice, we also know it’s a complicated task. That’s where the Resy Hit List comes in.

We’ve designed it to be your essential resource for dining in New York City: a monthly updated (and newly expanded!) guide to the restaurants that you won’t want to miss — tonight or any night.

Five Things In NYC Not to Miss This Month

  • Popping Up: Should you be craving pasta, (because why would you not?), consider grabbing a ticket ($125 per person) for the Petite Pasta Joint pop-up at South Soho Bar on Feb. 25. And find more events through the month on our Events page.
  • Openings & Closings: Nudibranch has a new bar in its next-door backroom, Tin Parlour, where they’ll be serving up conservas, snacks, natural wine, and cocktails. It’s walk-ins now, with reservations coming shortly. And you’ve only got until Feb. 18 to try one of the city’s best pancakes over at Chez Ma Tante before they close (temporarily, we hope). Find more recent openings on New on Resy.
  • Destination Bed-Stuy: It’s Black History Month, and what better time to explore the historically Black neighborhood of Bed-Stuy, where you’ll find incredible Nigerian tasting menus; arguably, the best doubles in town; beloved Black-owned restaurants and bars, like Dick & Jane’s BarRoom; and much more.
  • Lunar New Year: Feb. 10 marks the beginning of the Year of the Dragon, and two celebrations of note: 53 is hosting a whole weekend of activities (Feb. 9 to 11), lion dancers included, and Leland Eating and Drinking House, is planning a special menu of hand-pulled noodles, pork buns, and a Pekin duck from Long Island (Feb. 12 to 18). Find lots more in our Lunar New Year guide.
  • Valentine’s Day: Your favorite Resy restaurants are gearing up for the ultimate date night. One option to consider: a pop-up from chef Hong Thaimee over at Somtum Der in the East Village, with a special prix-fixe menu ($119 per person). And if you find yourself single on Valentine’s Day, consider Baba Cool’s Be My Guest party where you can indulge in games, tarot card readings, dancing, and small plates with other singles. Find more options on our Resy Events page.
