The Resy Hit List: Everywhere In L.A. You’ll Want to Eat Right Now

By

There’s no question we hear more often: Where should I go eat? And while we at Resy know it’s an honor to be the friend who everyone asks for restaurant advice, we also know it’s a complicated task. That’s where the Resy Hit List comes in.

We’ve designed it to be your essential resource for dining in Los Angeles: a monthly-updated (and newly expanded!) guide to the restaurants in that you won’t want to miss — tonight or any night.

Four Things In Los Angeles Not to Miss This Month

  • LA Wine & Food Festival Is Here. The inaugural culinary festival will take place in Santa Monica, kicking off the month with a top-notch lineup. From March 1 to 3, these chefs and many more will be serving dishes: Justin Pichetrungsi (Anajak Thai), Max Boothanakit and Lijo George (Camphor), Brian Bornemann (Isla), Sathia Sun (Donna’s), Francisco Moran (Loreto), Daniele Uditi (Pizanna), Kyle McClelland (Saltie Girl), and Daniel Cutler (Ronan).
  • Is Ladyhawk L.A.’s Top Lebanese Restaurant? L.A. Times critic Bill Addison thinks so, declaring chef Charbel Hayek’s hummus “a thing of beauty, full stop.” That a primetime table is hard to come by suggests that Angelenos think so, too. But don’t fret: we interviewed General Manager Evan Thomas to get the lowdown on how to score a reservation at the West Hollywood hotspot. Once you’re in, he says don’t miss the za’atar man’oushe or the tabbouleh salad.
  • Menu Rehaul at Cassia. It’ll be nine years in June since chef-owner Bryant Ng opened Cassia, where he’s been overseeing a mostly French-Vietnamese menu with nods to Chinese-Singaporean cuisine. Now, he’s leaning heavier into the latter, pulling more deeply from his own heritage to put forward a slate of new dishes including crispy crawfish toast, chili crab dip with clay oven bread, spicy lamb frites, and wok-tossed Maine lobster served over chow fun noodles.
  • Everyone Loves a Dinerand Moonlark is L.A.’s latest entrant: a combination classic diner and Midwestern supper club. Inside The Hoxton Hotel downtown, chef Chris Pandel, who hails from Chicago, is dishing three meals a day, from Denver omelets to charred spare ribs. Better yet, there’s a full bar, should you want to stop in for a nightcap and a slice of four-layer chocolate cake. Here’s everything you need to know before you go.
