Where to Eat Seafood Near the Beach in L.A. and Beyond

By

It’s summer in Los Angeles, which, after June Gloom sees itself out, means it’s time to hit the beach. Malibu is the obvious choice for many, but if you want to stay closer to the city, Santa Monica and Venice are always options, along with Manhattan Beach to the south, Ventura to the north, and so on.

The proper meal pre- or post-beach is seafood, of course, which is why we’ve put together this handy guide for where to eat clam chowder, lobster rolls, and grilled fish near the mighty Pacific. Some of these places take reservations, so you can plan ahead, while others are more casual affairs. The water is getting warmer, so you might as well swim—straight to any of these spots, that is.
