Beli’s Top Ranked Resy Restaurants Across the Country

Published:

If you’re wondering where people in the U.S. are dining out, this is an excellent place to start. Every day, thousands of Beli app users rank their favorite dining experiences and use the app to make reservations.

Thanks to our new partnership with Beli, we’ve rounded up the 20 top-rated Beli spots on Resy across America. Here’s everything you’ll need to have in mind before you visit, complete with tips on snagging that reservation … and what to order once you do.

1. 4 Charles Prime Rib New York City

It’s no wonder this steakhouse is one of Resy’s most notified restaurants in the city. Set those alerts, because when you visit 4 Charles — no matter how many times you’ve dined there — it still feels like you’re discovering something secret. Everyone recommends the famous burger (you know the one, with the hand-cut drippy egg) and it’s worth the hype, but don’t skip the gem salad, either. Oh, and the dessert: The illustrated menu is the stuff of dreams, as is the DIY Sundae Royale.

2. Albi Washington, D.C.

Chef Michael Rafidi isn’t afraid to experiment with tradition and technique at this highly lauded Palestinian restaurant in D.C’s Navy Yard, and the results are nothing short of wonderful. Diners adore the mushroom hummus, lamb kebab, and knafeh, but we’d be remiss not to tell you about the sofra, their take on a family-style tasting menu. Pro tip: Head here for tips on how to score a reservation, or consider grabbing one of our favorite bar seats in the capital.

3. Atomix New York City

This sequel to JP and Ellia Park’s much-loved Atoboy is considered by many to be the pinnacle of Korean fine dining in New York. It’s an intimate tasting menu experience that takes inspiration from Korean traditions and techniques, showcasing the freshest ingredients, including seafood. The list of Atomix’s accolades would impress even the most skeptical of New Yorkers, from Michelin stars and World’s 50 Best placements to James Beard honors aplenty.

Atomix offers access to some special events via Resy, but primarily accepts reservations on Tock.

4. Bavette’s Bar & Boeuf – Chicago Chicago

The whole point of Bavette’s is to lean in. Its decadence is embodied in everything from the dark, sultry velvet booths to the wagyu porterhouse and smoked salmon Caesar. As such, do come prepared to leave (a lot) fuller than you came, and don’t forget the drinks. Go traditional with an ice-cold martini or an Old Fashioned. If you have any room left, the Sundae “Royale” is a candy-lover’s dream dessert.

5. Torrisi New York City

Chef Rich Torrisi’s namesake Italian American joint from the same team behind Carbone has our vote when it comes to ridiculously good food – and ridiculously good comebacks. Theirs, in 2022, marked one of the best moments for New York City dining, becoming a true love letter to the city and its diners. Yes, the tortellini pomodoro really is that good, as is the almond cheesecake.

6. JUA New York City

The buzz is real at this acclaimed Michelin-starred restaurant from Jungsik vet Hoyoung Kim. Here, he uses a wood-fired grill to transform classic Korean dishes in new, delicious ways, and the meal starts with a surefire standout: The caviar kim made with truffled rice, pickled vegetables, chopped short rib meat, and a generous topping of caviar has gone viral many times over for reasons sure to become apparent after you try it.

7. Theodora New York City

If you see a line in Fort Greene, there’s a near 100% chance it’s for Theodora. They’ve been perpetually packed since they opened, with diners looking for a chance to try their menu that focuses on dry-aged fish and open-fire cooking. Thanks to the challenge of getting in, it makes for an impressive (and Beli-approved) date night spot. Reservations drop 30 days out at 9 a.m., and we’ve got a few more insider tips on how to get in here.

8. Sunny’s Steakhouse Miami

It’s no surprise to anyone in Miami that Sunny’s takes a spot on this list. It’s a classic see-and-be-seen locale in Little River, complete with sprawling banyan tree and a stunning courtyard that’s one of the hardest gets on Resy. They’ve got the menu to match, too, with Parker House rolls and honey butter, blue crab agnolotti, and a beautiful raw bar. Don’t forget the Porn Star martini … when in Miami.

9. Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare New York City

Few fine-dining institutions in New York are as iconic (or such household names) as Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare. 10. Tonino Boston

There are only 28 seats at this Jamaica Plain gem, which means once you score a seat you’ll need to make the best of it. That’ll probably mean ordering at least one each of the whole pizza pies (we’re partial to the bianca with stracciatella and whipped ‘nduja) and pastas. The interior is deceptively simple for how tasty the food is, but it still manages to be welcoming and cozy.

11. Somni Los Angeles

This iconic (and exclusive) tasting menu destination had to have broken some kind of record when they became L.A.’s first three-Michelin-starred restaurant after only six months in business. There’s room for just 14 guests, arranged theater style in a semicircle around the kitchen. The courtyard, where you’ll enter, is akin to a secret garden in all the best ways. And of course, the menu of Spanish-influenced dishes is as good as you’d come to expect from all that fanfare.

12. Vern’s Charleston, S.C.

This seasonal American spot is one of Charleston’s finest. It should come as no surprise once you consider the pedigree of the team behind it — McCrady’s, Animal, and Jon & Vinny’s, for some. The service here is unrushed and warm, and should leave you wanting for nothing. Don’t forget to check the chalkboard over the stunning mantelpiece for the rotating list of daily specials, either.

13. I Cavallini New York City

The sibling and across-the-street neighbor to Williamsburg’s The Four Horsemen happens to have just as many cool-kid vibes, just as excellent food, and just as packed a dining room. Here, you should pay special attention to the pastas and lean on the super-knowledgeable staff for help perusing the bottle list. Pro tip: While reservations can be tough to secure, know that they take walk-ins if you’re ready to come early. Save room for dessert, too — their tiramisù is one of the best in the city.

16. Eyval New York City

Eyval is an exceptional restaurant, and well worth a visit. If you can snag a table at this Brooklyn Persian hot spot, we’d act quickly. Chef Ali Saboor’s cooking is truly exceptional, without exaggeration, and the cocktails are worthy of worship. If the saffron martini or komaj bread is on offer, you know what to do.

17. Anjelica’s Restaurant Sea Bright, N.J.

Anjelica’s has been a classic “down the shore” since they opened in 1996, serving up Italian American fare that’s bound to please everyone in your group. If you can, sit in the corridor-style patio – you’ll swear you’re down a small street in Florence. Once you’re there, order the classics like fritto misto and aglio e olio.

18. Meju New York City

At this acclaimed Long Island City, Queens spot, you’ll be able to splurge in relative seclusion. There are just eight seats at chef Hooni Kim’s counter, where he serves a Korean fine-dining tasting menu that highlights the art of fermentation on a level previously unseen. You’ll enter through the Little Banchan Shop, which gives it a slight (and not at all unwelcome) speakeasy feel.

20. Blue Hill at Stone Barns – Events Tarrytown, N.Y.

No list of the country’s best restaurants dares exclude this iconic farm-to-table blueprint, where you’ll enjoy a meal directly next to where most of the ingredients are grown. It’s a stunning space outside the city in Tarrytown, N.Y., that’s requisite for anyone who aims to be called a foodie. It should come as no surprise that the menu is fiercely seasonal, and as such, changes relatively frequently, but we’ve never had a bad meal here.

Blue Hill at Stone Barns offers access to some special events via Resy, but primarily accepts reservations on Tock.
