By

In a strong year for dining, what were the absolute standouts?  We asked our contributors to the Resy Hit List to share their top 10 dining experiences from this year in their city — restaurants and meals that left an impression, and helped to define the state of American dining right now. Please welcome back our Best of The Hit List for 2022. (You can find other cities’ top picks here.)

It’s always an excellent time to be food fixated in Houston, but it was especially so in 2022, with all the exciting restaurant openings and deliciously diverse options that debuted across the city — not to mention reliable favorites that only continued to get better. The past 12 months, for example, saw the rollout of acclaimed sustainable seafood restaurant Golfstrømmen in Post Market food hall downtown, sharp new destinations on MARCH’s ongoing gastronomic exploration of the Mediterranean, the highly anticipated brick-and-mortar launch (finally!) of beloved smashburger pop-up Burger Bodega, and much more.

We’re highlighting favorites from 2022 as we close out the year, 10 spots that defined dining for us in Houston this year. So please, welcome our Best of The Hit List. What a delicious year it’s been.
