Now on Resy: Baro, Fat Rabbit, Lowerline, and More Local Favorites
Updated:
From a New Orleans-inspired restaurant to an all-day spot serving coffee and cocktails, these are just a few of the beloved New York spots that are now bookable on Resy. Right this way.
Note: This list will be updated regularly with new additions each month, so be sure to check back often. For New York’s newest restaurant openings, head here.
Lowerline Prospect Heights
Newly added!
New Orleans cuisine is rare in our fair city, which just means that when a place gets it right the way Lowerline does, we’re that much more excited. Go for the head-on barbecue shrimp and a catfish po’boy. Oh, and a Hurricane to drink. Long live NOLA.
Palermo Argentinian Bistro Hell's Kitchen
Newly added!
Beef is the move at Palermo, where they only serve cuts straight from Argentina. Grab a crew and go for the picanha or the tomahawk, plus mashed potatoes and a few mezcal margaritas, for good measure.
Hello Hello Bar and Cafe Chelsea
Newly added!
Hello Hello has a little something for everyone: It’s part all-day cafe, part cocktail bar, complete with 70s-inspired energy and nightly DJ sets. It’s attached to the Silent Alibi distillery, which explains why the drinks are so good — but the wings and hot dogs definitely don’t hurt, either.
Chuan Tian Xia 川天下 Sunset Park
Newly added!
For those in the know, Chuan Tian Xia serves some of the city’s best soup dumplings, salted egg yolk tofu, and Chengdu cold noodles with the ideal amount of spice. It’s often packed with neighborhood regulars, so grab a stool and cozy up like a local.
Brunch Me Baby Williamsburg
Newly added!
This once-weekly brunch pop-up at Mama Taco makes for an ideal Saturday afternoon out, with bottomless mimosas, DJs, and cajun-style chicken and waffles.
The Coffee Haus Murray Hill
Newly added!
Stop by from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. (but if the lights are on, “come on in,” they say) for freshly-poured coffees, sandwiches from The Picnic Basket, and baked goods from Balthazar. Don’t mind if we do.
Ahimsa Murray Hill
Newly added!
You won’t miss the meat at Ahmisa, a vegetarian Indian spot where the flavors speak for themselves. The idli soaked in sambar soup should definitely be on your table.
Muna Indian Restaurant Midtown
Newly added!
It’s a two-floor Indian restaurant serving up all your favorites, plus a long list of momos that is absolutely worthy of a perusal. Do know that their all-day three-course meal special is one of the better deals in the neighborhood.
House of Domes SoHo
Newly added!
As you make your way through the multi-roomed House of Domes, complimentary Tarot-style card in hand, you may start to forget that you came here to eat. That would be a mistake — make your way to your table and get to ordering.
Maison Welles Greenwich Village
Newly added!
“Coffee by day, Champagne by night” is really all you’ll ever need to say to get us to show up somewhere. As such, we’ll see you at Maison Welles in the foreseeable future.
Tanoshi Sushi Sake Bar Upper East Side
Newly added!
Tanoshi serves a ten-course Edomae-style omakase meal, with a very generous all-BYOB policy. Sit back, relax, and let the chef take it from here.
TASHCA NYC Nolita
Newly added!
Chorizo focaccia with herb butter, king crab cannoli, and stuffed squid with black rice are all on offer at Tashca, a cozy, welcoming Portuguese spot right off of Bowery.
Ubani Bistro West Village
Newly added!
French and Georgian cuisine have a happy marriage at Ubani, where khachapuri comes topped with figs (and is a must-order), alongside buttery escargots and tender slow-cooked duck leg.
The Broadway Tavern West Harlem
Newly added!
As the name suggests this is, well, a tavern on Broadway. Head here for an after-work drink and some pub-style pizza pies while you watch whatever game happens to be on.
Fat Rabbit Fort Greene
Newly added!
Fat Rabbit is, at its heart, a diner. This means that the menu is long and includes dishes like chicken noodle soup and spaghetti and meatballs. But, it’s also a diner that belongs to the new wave of diners, so they serve dirty martini deviled eggs and spicy margaritas, too.
Coral Omakase Midtown
17 courses of premium omakase in the heart of Grand Central? Coral is an escape within the chaos, and comes from a chef who trained at BondST, Sumile, and Koi. We can imagine few better things.
The Cellar at Armada Lower East Side
As you descend into the glowing den that is The Cellar at Armada, you might get the sense that you’re entering another dimension. Order a cosmopolitan and a french dip with gruyere and enjoy the ride.
Fortuna NYC East Village
The menu at Fortuna is long, varied, delicious, and entirely kosher. Do know that the schnitzel, fattoush, and bourekas are required eating.
Panda Harlem West Harlem
Dress to impress here — every night feels like a soirée, thanks to a hip hop playlist and food that’s always on point. Signature dishes include glazed Shanghai ribs and braised oxtail dumplings, but you also shouldn’t overlook the cocktails, either.
Mrs. Georgia Long Island City
The khinkali, housemade pickles, and honey cake at Mrs. Georgia are all well worth the trip to Long Island City. The warm service and long list of wines? Icing on the cake. Or, egg yolk on the khachupuri.
Giardino D'oro Financial District
Italian for Golden Garden, Giardino d’Oro is a cozy oasis with wine-lined walls and sweet murals of the countryside. Order the eggplant rollatini, linguini alla vongole, and a veal chop for good measure.
Pappardella Upper West Side
When in need of a comfort meal near Central Park, Pappardella will never steer you wrong. Their Italian menu is filled with classics like black truffle agnolotti, caprese, and brick-fired pizzas. Buon appetito, indeed.
Enso Omakase Williamsburg
It’s an intimate, ten-seat omakase counter serving Edomae cuisine in a classic and serene Wabi Sabi-style setting. Go for the full 16 courses of nigiri, plus soup and dessert (all for under $200), or enjoy 12 courses in the lounge or garden.
