1. Bar Moruno
Silverlake, Los Angeles
Who doesn’t love a comeback story? Welcome back to Bar Moruno, now dishing out conservas with pan con tomate, tortilla española, and fat oven-roasted mussels with butter beans and chorizo cantimpalo on the Silver Lake stretch of Sunset. Longtime industry collaborators David Rosoff and chef Chris Feldmeier (Campanile, Mozza) have resurrected their Spanish restaurant — which last operated five years ago in Grand Central Market — and this time, they’re going big. Between Rosoff’s deep wine, sherry, and vermouth knowledge and a host of creative, gin-heavy cocktails from bar manager Dave Kupchinsky, there’s no shortage of excellent things to eat and drink.
