The world might seem a lot smaller, thanks to lockdown, but Sydney’s eateries offer so many border-crossing possibilities and transporting dishes. There’s a Yucatán-focused restaurant due to open this month and there are newcomers to the scene that offer everything from Syrian cuisine to Filipino-flavoured doughnuts. It’s also worth paying tribute to the beloved Golden Century via its sister restaurant, XOPP, and putting in an early order for Shaffa’s special dinner boxes for Jewish New Year, which takes place in early September.
