You’ve seen its signature red ratings in the windows of the city’s best restaurants. And now, the iconic restaurant guide is back.
Turning 40 is no small feat, and Zagat is celebrating its anniversary in style. The legendary restaurant discovery platform will be releasing its essential paperback guide for the first time in four years, and hosting a celebratory fête at New York institution, Gramercy Tavern.
Presented by American Express® and its Global Dining Collection, 40 Years of Zagat will offer two seatings. Lunch will include a three-course menu with a Perrier-Jouët Champagne bar and oyster pairing, and feature a special conversation with Union Square Hospitality Group founder and restaurateur Danny Meyer, and Zagat CEO and The Infatuation co-founder Chris Stang.
Dinner promises a special evening with cocktail hour and a five-course tasting menu by Gramercy Tavern’s celebrated executive chef Michael Anthony, and will include wine pairings and a Champagne tasting and pairing courtesy of Perrier-Jouët Cellar Master Hervé Deschamps. Both lunch and dinner will offer a custom Tequila Don Julio cocktail.
