Antico Nuovo
East Larchmont
This newcomer from former Chi Spacca chef Chad Colby is a hidden gem. The small space is communal and lively, filled with long, rustic tables; hand-blown glass vases; and antique decor Colby picked up during travels through Italy. Grilled meats and fish—served with a bevvy of side dishes—come from a wood-burning hearth; house-cured meats and cheeses, summery garden salads with sungold tomatoes, distinct pastas (like maritati), and simple sauces stream out of an open kitchen. Wines are global, with just enough of everything to keep novices and oenophiles alike interested.
