The 10 Restaurants That Defined New Orleans Dining in 2022

By

In a strong year for dining, what were the absolute standouts?  We asked our contributors to the Resy Hit List to share their top 10 dining experiences from this year in their city — restaurants and meals that left an impression, and helped to define the state of American dining right now. Please welcome back our Best of The Hit List for 2022. (You can find other cities’ top picks here.)

The shift this year has been palpable. Diners, both local and visiting, are in the streets and plopped at tables across town doing one of the things we do best in New Orleans: eating.

This did not feel like a year of splashy newness, though. Instead it felt like fine-tuning. A return, perhaps, to only-a-few-years-old restaurants, like Zasu and Palm & Pine, or a settling in for newer ones, like Tava and Jamaican Jerk House. Deepening relationships with new(ish) friends is such a gift, no?

These 10 were the ones that most resonated with how we’re dining right now in the city. Welcome to our Best of the Hit List New Orleans for 2022.
