The October Hit List: Chip’s Clubhouse, Owamni, Boludo, and More

By

The changing fall colors have hit the Twin Cities, just begging people to pull on a sweater (or shorts — October can be fickle) and get outside for a little leaf-peeping. We suggest doing so from the patio at the current darling of the restaurant scene, the groundbreaking Indigenous foods-focused Owamni, which launched three months ago on park land overlooking the Mississippi River.

Another recent opening — or, rather, reopening — lies across the river in St. Paul. Augustine’s, formerly a bar and bakery, has morphed into a French bistro where the attention paid to the food is only rivaled by the attention the owners pay to the staff, their benefits, and quality of life.

See what else awaits with this month’s Hit List.
