The February Hit List: Crudo e Nudo, Genwa, Mantee Cafe, Shiku, and More

By

January is always a blur. But February comes, and we start to feel like ourselves again, finally getting your sea legs. And boy, has it been choppy. Almost a year in, COVID is still top of mind, but with the vaccine and continued safety measures, there’s a glimmer of light. Statewide stay-at-home mandates have lifted, and restaurants in Los Angeles and Southern California are allowed to offer at least outdoor dining again. Most are jumping right in, and just about everyone continues offering robust takeout menus, for which we are all grateful.

Grateful, for instance, for really good pizza in Los Feliz and WeHo. Or iconic fried chicken both Downtown and in South L.A. Or kefta in Studio City. Or Korean barbecue. Or bento boxes from the team that brought you Baroo. Dim sum. Pie. Cocktails. Lots of cocktails.

So keep supporting your favorite places, or even try a newcomer, because we want them to be here when we actually reach that light. Whatever your heart desires, it’s right here in this month’s Hit List.
