Toscano: The spaghetti with shrimp, chorizo, escarole, and jalapeño pesto.
Where are you getting takeout from and what are you ordering?
— Katz’s: Pastrami on rye.
— Parm: The chicken parm platter.
— Peter Luger: The burger.
Best tip to amp up your takeout?
Order your steak a temp under and not sliced, and give it a fresh sear to enjoy it piping hot like you’re in the restaurant. Plan ahead for breakfast or lunch. I always turn my leftover Katz’s pastrami into pastrami and egg breakfast tacos.
What’s your favorite place for cocktails to go?
da Toscano and Dante.
What single restaurant dish would you walk miles for?
Tacos from Birria-Landia.
What do you miss the most about restaurants?
The experience, human interaction, the camaraderie.
