Resy: What’s your favorite dish from Emmy Squared’s takeout menu?
Hyland: Easy question: Le Big Matt burger and waffle fries.
Where are you getting takeout from and what are you ordering?
— Joe and Pat’s: Large plain pie and meatball sub.
— Han Dynasty: Dry pepper style shrimp, veggie lo mein, and extra spicy pickled veggies.
— Tacombi: Guac, corn, and fish burrito.
— Greenpoint Fish & Lobster: The lobster roll.
Best tip to amp up your takeout?
Can’t go wrong with more mayo on just about anything for a spruce-up.
What single restaurant dish would you walk miles for?
Chef Capon’s duck lasagna at Bowery Meat Company.
What restaurant do you wish was open?
I feel like I have been making the rounds to many neighborhood restaurants to support with takeout, and I am so very grateful that most are open.
What do you miss the most about restaurants?
I miss the people. I miss the frequency of seeing all community members at my restaurant, and I miss seeing restaurant peers across the city with regularity and at events.
