Neighborhood Spotlight: Los Feliz & Silver Lake

By

Los Feliz   Silver Lake

When non-Angelenos complain nobody walks in L.A., they clearly haven’t spent time strolling around Los Feliz or Silver Lake. Called everything from trendy to “tragically hip,” these adjacent NeLa (Northeast L.A.) nabes are full of history, architecture and Hollywood, where famous faces commune with longtime locals. Silver Lake is made up of several enclaves, from Sunset Junction to Virgil Village, blocks near the reservoir and along Hyperion.  Both just happen to have some of the best restaurants in L.A., pretty much anything you fancy: jam-topped toast, Middle Eastern-inspired fare, Filipino, Mexican, Taiwanese, French and more.
