Four Things In D.C. Not to Miss This Month

  • Best of the Fest: H Street Festival celebrates a stretch of Northeast DC known for incredible music, culture, and, of course, food. Book a table on September 21 before or after the festival to celebrate. A few of our favorites along this block include Bronze, Maketto, and the newly opened Bar Providencia.
  • 24-Hour Art Party: Art All Night x Dine All Night is a 24-hour themed party across Washington, DC that incorporates local art with flavors from around the world. This year restaurants participating include Joia Burger, Fight Club, and DCity Smokehouse.
  • AfriCali Book Launch: Hedzole is hosting a book launch party with acclaimed chef Kiano Mjou on September 13. The party celebrates Afri-Cali cuisine — these are African dishes influenced by California culture, with select dishes served straight from his new cookbook.   • Patio Season Returns: We survived the humidity of another DC summer, and now it’s time to be rewarded with a patio drink or two. We have a few suggestions. Read up on our outdoor dining guide with heated and covered dining to last you all the way through the end of the year.
