Resy Rallies Diners This Winter to Support Restaurants
January and February are notoriously difficult months for restaurants, so Resy is rallying diners to show up for the hospitality industry just as hosts, servers, bartenders, dishwashers, cooks and chefs show up for us during each meal. This winter Resy will launch a campaign to illustrate how becoming a ‘regular’ is the easiest way to show up for restaurants. It includes a new ad spot, dining event series, and exclusive editorial content to inspire diners.
“The hospitality community has always been the first to step up for guests. Now it’s our turn,” said Hannah Kelly, Chief Marketing Officer of Resy. “This is a challenging time of year for restaurants and together let’s be there for our restaurants and show them the same love they show us every single day.”
Right This Way – Ad Spot & Campaign
Resy will inspire diners to discover and book at restaurants across the U.S. with new advertising and editorial programming, including:
New Resy Ad Spot
A new Resy ad spot – featuring Resy restaurant partners including Jon Harris (Linden), Patrick Costa (De La Nonna), Sara Kramer (Kismet), Sarah Hymanson (Kismet), Nico de Leon (Lasita) and Max Reiss (Mírate) – will run across Resy channels, digital out of home, and social to help fill dining rooms and mobilize diners around the country to support restaurants. The musical spot, which was filmed on location in Los Angeles in the weeks preceding the tragic wildfires, pulls back the curtain on a day in the life of operating a restaurant.

Ways to Support the Los Angeles Restaurant Community
In light of the heartbreaking loss the Los Angeles community faces, Resy and its sister company Tock announced yesterday that they are committing a combined $200,000 to World Central Kitchen, a chef-driven organization that is on the frontlines, working to provide meals and immediate relief across the region.
In addition, Resy is encouraging diners to dine out or order takeout if it is safe to do so, purchase gift cards from restaurants, and spread the word about restaurants who are supporting the community and frontline workers.
“The LA restaurant community has mobilized in such amazing ways to uplift those impacted by the fires,” said Jon Harris, head chef at LA’s Linden restaurant. “Together, we will rebuild, heal and bring back the magic that makes the LA dining scene so special.”
“My heart aches for our Los Angeles community and for all of the lives, homes, businesses and livelihoods that have been lost. While there is so much direct damage to address first and foremost, it’s also important to begin to discuss the broader impact on the local economy, restaurants included, who have already been struggling. This crisis is coming during what were already the toughest months of the year,” said Sara Kramer, chef and owner of LA’s Kismet. “Our doors are open, and we’re offering diners the option to donate meals when they dine in and via online orders to feed firefighters, first responders, displaced families, and the broader community in need.”
