New York – September 18, 2025: American Express today unveiled major updates to its U.S. Consumer and Business Platinum Cards including new benefits for dining at Resy restaurants across the U.S. The benefits are designed to make the Platinum Card the key that helps unlock top table access, restaurant experiences, and more reasons to eat out, since dining out is central to the Platinum lifestyle.

American Express Card Members spent over $87 billion on dining in the U.S. in 20241 and restaurants are the largest spend category within travel and entertainment for U.S. Platinum Card Members2.

“American Express has a long history of connecting Card Members to premium dining experiences and with Resy we’ve created unparalleled value and access to top restaurants,” said Pablo Rivero, CEO Resy and Tock, SVP, American Express Global Dining. “We know our U.S. Platinum Card Members love to dine out, so we made sure the new Platinum Cards reflected this passion.”

Available immediately, the dining benefits on the updated Platinum Cards include:

U.S. Consumer Platinum Card:

  • NEW – $400 Resy Credit: Up to $100 in statement credits each quarter after Card Members use their Platinum Card to make eligible purchases with Resy, including dining purchases at more than 10,000 U.S. Resy restaurants3. Enrollment required. Learn more about the Resy Credit here.

“These benefits demonstrate the combined power of American Express and Resy: we’re incentivizing millions of diners to support Resy restaurants – a win-win for our Card Members and our restaurant community,” said Rivero.

The Resy Credit launched in February 2024 on American Express’ Delta SkyMiles® Reserve and Platinum Cards followed by the U.S. Consumer American Express® Gold Card in July 2024. Since launching, over 95% of U.S. Resy restaurants have had an eligible American Express® Card Member make a purchase at their restaurant and earn a Resy Credit4. Since the benefit launched in 2024, over $19 million in Resy Credit statement credits have been issued to eligible American Express® Card Members in New York City5 and millions of dollars more in statement credits have been redeemed at Resy restaurants around the country.

American Express acquired Resy, a digital restaurant reservation booking and management platform, in 2019, followed by the acquisition of Tock, a reservation, table, and event management technology provider, in 2024 to expand the company’s restaurant network and to better serve restaurants, diners, and American Express Card Members. Since acquisition, Resy has expanded American Express’ suite of digital-first benefits and services beyond traditional rewards and points, providing Card Members with elevated dining access and experiences across card products beginning with the launch of Global Dining Access by Resy, a first-of-its-kind program.
