Throughout June, Resy was on the road doing what we love best: giving hospitality back to our partners, the restaurant industry.
As sponsors of events from Miami (the second annual Lengua Conference) to Charleston (FAB Conference) to Valencia, Spain (World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards), we were thrilled to see, hear from, feed, imbibe with, and celebrate the people who make Resy restaurants run as they hosted conversations, won awards and stepped out of the kitchen. Lengua Conference, Miami
May 30-June 1
At the second Lengua Conference, more than 200 hospitality leaders and food and beverage innovators came together at The Sacred Space located in the heart of Miami. Popular chefs – Michael Schwartz, JJ Johnson, Manu Buffara and more – cooked delicious food and shared insights on topics ranging from how to grow a restaurant brand through community involvement to creating hospitality experiences that drive loyalty. Takeaways from the conference centered around gamification, AI and personalization in the hospitality industry and looking at experiences as a service.
Alex’s Lemonade Stand: The Great Chefs Event, Philadelphia
June 10
More than 30 chefs from across the country came together to serve signature tasting dishes at Alex’s Lemonade Stand The Great Chefs Event Philadelphia. Guests had the chance to taste the food, bid on auction items and celebrate the 16th anniversary of the event. All proceeds went towards fighting pediatric cancer. The ‘Great Chefs’ in attendance included Evan Funke of Mother Wolf, Joe Beddia of Pizzeria Beddia, Amanda Shulman of Her Place, Jonathan Waxman of Barbuto, Nancy Silverton of Osteria Mozza, Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo of Jon and Vinny’s and Nik Suntaranon of Kalaya Thai Kitchen.
FAB Conference, Charleston
June 11-13
The FAB Conference – led by Randi Weinstein, Ashley Mitchell and Jenny Ferrara – is a three-day educational workshop created by women, for women, in the restaurant industry with empowerment at the top of the agenda. Resy was a lead sponsor of this year’s FAB, which saw hundreds of attendees at sessions focused on how to grow and hone hospitality businesses. FAB and its participants were eager to learn from one another, offer support and continuing to facility conversation amongst industry women.
The American Express Restaurant Trade Program at the Aspen Food & Wine Classic, Aspen
June 16-18
Resy helped kick off Aspen Food & Wine’s 40th year with the American Express trade program, which has been around for 33 years. The program featured a celebratory kickoff party, three panels and a VIP lunch. Chef Gregory Gourdet, Chef Marcus Samuelsson and Chef Nancy Silverton were among some of the panelists in attendance, discussing topics like the evolution of chefs and creating a strong foundation for innovation.
The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023, Valencia
June 19
Talented chefs from around the world gathered in Valencia for The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023, with Resy as a brand sponsor of the event’s award ceremony. Along with this involvement, Resy crowned New York City’s Chef Kwame Onwuachi as the winner of the Resy One To Watch Award. Of course, the days were filled with fabulous food, including bites from Resy London partner Paradise Soho.
