New On Resy: Miami’s Newest Restaurant Openings

Named for the year Maradona led Argentina to soccer glory, this Argentinian parrilla treats live-fire asado as a cultural ritual as much as a cooking method. Premium cuts from Argentina, the U.S., and Japan are grilled over fire with nothing but salt — the way it was always meant to be done. The best-in-class beef program alone earns the trip, but the cocktail list, developed by the team behind the best bar in South America, might also convince you.

It’s a see-and-be-seen hot spot scene right on the water, so you can work on your tan while you sip your tableside mojito. Their menu even has a section called Sea and Be Seen — it’s perfect. And so is their crispy whole snapper.

Try to snag a seat in the garden here at EOS (as the name implies). The breeze only improves on the watermelon salad and moussaka, which is already top-notch.

The smoke-averse may not thrive here, but for lovers of fine cigars, premium liquor, and prime cuts of beef, La Terraza Nicabanos is a little slice of heaven.

The $10 cocktails are a steal anywhere, but in Miami they’re downright unheard of. At Grand Public, they’re the norm (if you arrive after 10 p.m., that is). Chase them with an order of honey butter Parker House rolls.

In addition to sounding like something we’d love to do with our friends, Kiki on the River is a lovely spot to grab some Greek classics. Do know that the salt-crusted lavraki should be your top contender.

It’s an enormous and exciting Colombian spot right near the beachfront. What are you waiting for? Empanadas for the table, por favor.

If you can, head here on the weekends for the wagyu experience, during which you’ll get to meet the butcher and pick your own cuts. Even if you come during other hours, the care and attention to beef here is hard to beat.

By way of Mexico City, then San Francisco, and now Miami, Cha Cha Cha has earned its reputation for a fun, flavorful night out. The long list of crudo (11!) and margaritas should convince you, if that name didn’t.

No matter what kind of party you’re looking for (some past examples include “My Boyfriend is Out of Town” and “Late Night Vibe DJ”), Baoli has you covered. And we didn’t even talk about the food yet — wagyu dumplings, anyone?

Two decades of center-cut rib eye, hamachi tostada, and truffle risotto is worthy of a little respect. Show yours by ordering enough for a small army.

It’s an old-school, white tablecloth joint serving up all you’d expect from such an establishment. Know that the pear ravioli is highly recommended, as is smart casual attire.

High above Brickell, the team behind L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon and Le Jardinier brings their Michelin-caliber polish to contemporary Italian cooking at this 54th-floor rooftop restaurant. The menu leans into elegant restraint with dishes like light and citrusy taglioni al limone or tortelloni stuffed with red wine-braised short rib — but those sweeping skyline views have a way of stealing the show.  

Built on the premise that great meat shouldn’t require a special occasion, this steakhouse from the team behind local butcher Meat N’ Bone is designed for the kind of repeat visits that start with a $35 ribeye and slowly work their way up to torched Japanese A5 wagyu nigiri. The new expanded location brings more of everything, with added seating, a private dining room, and a glass-enclosed wine room.

From the legendary Cipriani family comes a cafe-market at Mr. C Residences that distills their signature Italian hospitality into something far more everyday. Here, espresso, housemade pastas, and a rotating spread of pastries and gelato carry the same polish as their formal dining rooms, just in a more flexible, all-day format. Drop in for a quick coffee or linger into aperitivo time at this new neighborhood refuge.

In a neighborhood that keeps reinventing itself, Le Bouchon du Grove endures as the real thing. Paul Bocuse-trained chef Christian Ville has spent three decades cooking the unfussy, from-scratch French food that defines the classic bouchons of Lyon, France: duck leg confit, moules marinières with proper frites, onion soup crusted thick with Gruyère. A complimentary glass of Champagne arrives the moment you sit down — the signal that you’re leaving the bustling Grove behind for a meal worth lingering over. 

David Foulquier’s intimate Persian-French bistro spent years as downtown Miami’s best-kept secret. The Little River reincarnation is its grown-up self: 14,000 square feet of wood-fire ambition, with sharable Persian plates (think housemade za’atar bread with delicious dips, crispy rice tahdig, and spiced kebabs) to a high-ceilinged dining room that feels as expansive and arrived-at as the city itself. When dinner winds down, the Lion’s Den lounge upstairs is just getting started. 

The L.A.-born supper club that made chicken tenders a luxury item has a home on Biscayne Bay. The kitchen plays it straight on the classics (those tenders, with hot honey and buttermilk ranch, are as good as advertised) while slipping in a stone crab salad that would only exist in South Florida. Add a no-photos policy, nightly live entertainment, and a waterfront terrace with boat slips, and Delilah is less a dinner reservation than an occasion. 

What happens when a Mexico City-inspired menu meets the warmth of a Coral Gables home? Casa MX channels the capital city’s layered food culture into vibrant, comfort-driven dishes — from bright ceviches and aguachiles to hearty plates like carne asada with mole negro — all designed to be shared slowly over agave-forward cocktails that give you every reason to stay. 

The sushi river at Tokyo Tuna’s South Miami outpost is exactly what it sounds like: a flowing stream of small boats carrying freshly made plates to your seat. Trust us, it’s less gimmick than it is a genuinely fun way to eat well (though you can order from a server, too). Grab the spicy tuna crispy rice when it floats by — it’s got truffle unagi sauce and perfectly crisp rice — or wait for the Jeff roll loaded with salmon, shrimp tempura, and honey with a crunch of seaweed on top. 

Cactus Club Cafe brings its Canadian-born approach to elevated everyday dining to Miami, marking only the second U.S. outpost for the brand. The expansive, high-energy space centers on a lively bar and a menu that covers a lot of ground — sushi and starters alongside pastas, steaks, and sammies. Add bold artwork, a polished-but-relaxed crowd, and frozen Bellinis that feel tailor-made for Miami, and you’ve got a place built for just about any plan. 

What looks like a great neighborhood bar turns out to also be one of Downtown Miami’s better restaurants, and that’s exactly the point. Chef-driven comfort food built around Florida-sourced ingredients means the smoked fish dip served with fried saltines and a near-legendary cheeseburger hold their own against anything in the area. Order a shell-tini — a briny martini made with oyster shell-infused gin — and settle in. 

The Living Room distills everything the storied Italian brand does best into a more intimate lounge experience. Set up like an elegant private residence, Cipriani classics, polished cocktails, and unhurried hospitality take center stage here. You can come for a drink, or extend your evening into a leisurely dinner. This is Cipriani at its most relaxed, social, and effortlessly stylish. 

This is a tasting-menu restaurant where the priorities are clear: focused cooking, serious sourcing, and very little distraction. Chef Jeremy Ford builds the menu around what’s coming off his Homestead farm, letting local ingredients shape dishes that change often. Prefer something more straightforward? Beauty & The Butcher in Coral Gables offers a more approachable, steak-driven take on Ford’s culinary philosophy. 

Just as its name promises, Torno Subito is back, reopening after a hiatus with a new home inside the Moore Building in the Design District — and the move suits it. The restaurant’s playful approach to Italian cooking feels right at home in a space that celebrates creativity and design. Expect familiar flavors reimagined with wit and precision, delivered in a setting that matches the food’s sense of fun. 

Brooklyn Chop House takes the classic steakhouse playbook and flips it with bravado, blending premium cuts and familiar indulgence with Chinese-American flavors. This is where dim sum meets dry-aged beef. Designed for big nights out and shared dining, it’s the kind of place you come for a splurge and stay because the energy never dips.
