Boston Contributor

Eric has been steadily eating and drinking his way around the greater Boston area since arriving there as a student in the fall of 2009. In the years since, he’s developed big opinions on where to find everything from the perfect martini to the platonic ideal of the chicken Caesar wrap. He has the annual dates of multiple food festivals committed to mind and still occasionally burns his mouth while feasting on soup dumplings.

Fun Facts

  • Lives in
    South End, Boston
  • Next on your bucket list
The Polo Bar in New York. Someday …
  • Favorite food city
Bologna, Italy. There’s a reason its national nickname is “La Grassa” (aka “The Fat One”).
  • Your Ratatouille moment
My family had a pierogi business growing up. I remember visiting my father at the factory when I was very young, and he’d take a pierogi right off the line — not buttered, just plain — and pass it to me. I’d do anything for another of those.
  • Hot take
Stop putting burgers on brioche buns! The smaller and squishier the bun, the better.
  • Pro tip for diners
Eat at the bar. Bartenders have the best recommendations.
  • Last meal on earth
Medium-rare cheeseburger, super crispy fries, and a dry gin martini with a lemon twist.
