Because the duo (dare we say, dream team) that made Lilia happen—Missy Robbins and Sean Feeney—now presents its latest sensation, Misi. Here, the James Beard Award-winning chef has her very own glass-encased pasta room and, instead of soft-serve, there’s fior di latte gelato.

Because serious pedigree props up Hortus, one of this season’s most notable openings. With an assist from partner-general manager Suhum Jang (Per Se), chef Seungjoon Choi (Blanca) is reinventing modern Asian cuisine. The wild card? Cheese and charcuterie.
