One Bay Area Pizzeria Named Among the Country’s Best

By

The New York Times dropped a national list of its picks for the best pizza places in the entire country — and one Bay Area spot made the cut.

Berkeley’s beloved Rose Pizzeria got the local honor as the Bay Area standout, alongside heavyhitters around the country like Razza in New Jersey and Pizzeria Sei in Los Angeles.

It’s a testament to the Bay Area’s thriving pizza scene, but especially to the special pies produced by Gerad Gobel and Alexis Rorabaugh and their crew. The select quote from the Times that sums it all up: “The toppings aren’t flashy, but options like the She Wolf, with burrata, garlic confit, olives, capers and oregano, are deeply delicious.”
