The rest of the country is peeping leaves right now, but Atlanta’s eyes have been firmly focused on stars as we move into November. After a lot of excited chatter, Michelin arrived in our fair city and doled out seven stars in its debut list of 45 restaurants.
As Atlantans know, this is barely the tip of the iceberg, and, well, we already have a firm sense of our local stars — plenty of places that are beloved not only for the food, but also the sense of community they build. For example, at Dantanna’s Surf and Turf Restaurant, they elevate things from a sports bar to what we’ll call an athletic observance lounge. If you want to take a step back from it all, Alpharetta abounds with stellar choices, like the epic pastas at Foundation Social Eatery. And then there’s this little Old Fourth Ward spot, Bomb Biscuit Co., which seems to have drawn national attention — even some from a certain tire-sponsored guide.
Now as always, your latest Resy Hit List takes the long view to great eating in the ATL.
