Where to Eat in March: Brine, Apero, The Red Hen, and More

Brine opened on H Street almost three years ago, and quickly became beloved by seafood lovers and oyster aficionados. Last month the restaurant expanded to a second location in Dupont Circle, extending their beloved happy hour special of $1 off all oysters from 5-7 p.m. weeknights and all night Tuesdays.

Chef Rachael Jennings (formerly of Rose’s Luxury) likes to build creative pizzas that draw walk-in diners craving more. Find inventive pies including one that pays homage to the Golden Arches Big Mac and an Italian cold cut-topped pizza inspired by Capitol Hill’s Mangialardo’s.

In March, executive chef Danny Chavez welcomes patrons to an new immersive tea experience featuring relaxing tea blends, delicate savory sandwiches, and freshly baked pastries. It’s an appreciated departure from bottomless brunch or a boozy happy hour, and comes served with a live acoustic music set. High tea is hosted every Friday and Saturday.

José Andrés opened The Bazaar inside the Waldorf Astoria to take guests on a sensory adventure where anything is possible and pays homage to his Spanish roots. The restaurant is now open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as an all-day bar service where walk-ins are welcome.
