The July Hit List: Greekman’s, The Dresden, El Ruso, Afuri Ramen, and More

By

Do you hear that? That’s the sound of L.A. coming back to life. When the state fully opened on June 15, restaurants could go to full indoor dining capacity — if they desired — as well as keep the parklets and new patios that kept everyone going for the last year. We can sit at the bar again. We can hug friends. Families are meeting for brunch. The city is bustling.

So it’s important to revisit old favorites to be reminded of how much they mean to us, while also checking out newcomers who somehow, miraculously, threw open the doors for business this past year. And you’ll find a little bit of both in this month’s Hit List, from a Greek-inspired getaway in Silver Lake to celebrated ramen in the Arts District, paella in Highland Park, and so much more.
