Lilia, Sofreh, Wu’s Wonton King, Keens, Punjabi Deli, and More: New on the Resy Hit List

Let it be known that Lilia is back. This close-up shot of the malfadini with pink peppercorns should be enough to lure you in, although be diligent — table slots have already filled up in the blink of an eye. Service starts at 5 p.m., and a reservation is very much required. Not ready to dine outside just yet? Stop by Caffe Lilia from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily for takeout pastries and sandwiches à la Missy Robbins.

In other major news: Wu’s has returned from their hiatus, too. Make sure you’re stocked up on wine, then give them a ring to place an order for pickup. To recreate the Wu’s experience as best as possible from home, you’ll want the Peking duck buns, sauteed snow peas with three kinds of egg, and arguably New York’s greatest wonton soup. (And a corkscrew.)

Yes, now you can savor an ice-cold martini, followed by shrimp cocktail, and the legendary mutton chop — with Midtown’s skyscrapers overhead. If dining on the sidewalk outside at Keens isn’t a once-in-a-lifetime New York experience, we’re not sure what is.

After re-opening for takeout last month, Nasim Alikhani’s Iranian-inspired spot has cemented itself as a promising player in the outdoor dining game. Fresh, herby salads are followed by fragrant stews, and get at least one side of rice — saffron, lentil, herb, or tahdig, take your pick. This is a meal to get excited about.

Danny Meyer and chef Mike Anthony know you’ve been missing GT, which is why they’re bringing the hits home — literally. Regularly changing dinner sets (currently eggplant dip, chilled cucumber soup, steamed lobster with grilled zucchini, and chocolate bread pudding), Tavern burgers, plus housemade granola and chocolates, are available for pickup Wed. through Sun.

Devotees of Punjabi Deli’s cheap, fantastic vegetarian fare will be thrilled to know that this Houston Street stalwart is back to dishing chaat, paratha, daal, and the like. Pick and choose from what they’ve got, and always add a samosa.

Locanda’s roomy corner real estate creates for an alluring al fresco situation, with plenty of sidewalk tables to go around. Try a Gold Negroni (their take on a white Negroni built around Salers aperitif), then feast on antipasti, seasonal housemade pasta, and the signature grilled duck breast — sliced thin with fig & shallot marmalade, served over a bed of tender chickpeas.

Technically all of the Momofuku restaurants remain closed, but the group is testing out what they’re calling “Momofuku 207 To Go.” For takeaway only — from the space that was formerly Momofuku Ssäm Bar — you can grab meals of Korean fried chicken or coconut sambal bo ssäm, plus a curated selection of dishes ranging from shiitake buns to spicy Impossible rice cakes, and pantry items like chef Eunjo Park’s pickles and ginger scallion sauce.

If it’s a Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday evening, that means takeout and sidewalk seating is on at Cervo’s. Conserva & cucumbers, piri piri chicken, and chilled bottles of Spanish wine can be yours to enjoy on eastern Canal Street.

It’s not so easy to get out of Manhattan these days, but if you can at least make it to Red Hook (tip: the ferries aren’t crowded) you’ll be rewarded with proper old-school Italian vibes, a heavenly hero, and a perfect place to enjoy it — on a bench at Louis Valentino Park, looking out over the East River.

Ace of sweets Umber Ahmad has reopened the doors of her West Village bakery with a bang. As in, chocolate semifreddo push-pops layered with peanut butter salted caramel, and candied peanuts and frozen cherry-lime ice pops. Nostalgic nirvana.
