The Resy Hit List: Where In D.C. You’ll Want to Eat Right Now

By

There’s no question we hear more often: Where should I go eat? And while we at Resy know it’s an honor to be the friend who everyone asks for restaurant advice, we also know it’s a complicated task. That’s where the Resy Hit List comes in.

We’ve designed it to be your essential resource for dining in and around Washington, D.C.: a monthly-updated (and newly expanded!) guide to the restaurants in that you won’t want to miss — tonight or any night.

Four Things In D.C. Not to Miss This Month

  • Peak Bloom: Consider The Wharf your best bet for al fresco dining within view of the cherry blossoms.  Del Mar delivers bold flavors with its seafood paella, as do Hank’s Oyster Bar for Chesapeake inspired seafood, including a spring favorite — Maryland soft shell crabs — and Kaliwa with its mix of Asian-inspired dishes. This all coincides with the National Cherry Blossom Festival kicking off on March 20 on the National Mall.
  • New Routine: Those looking to kick-off a new spring routine, may want to gather a group of friends and head to Adams Morgan for happy hour as it debuts weekly bar trivia series at Roofers Union. Meanwhile, on weekends Perry’s with Japanese style breakfast (also just in time for sakura season) and always popular Sunday drag brunch.
  • Eternal City: Is it us, or is Washington, D.C., feeling a bit more like Rome these days? That’s in part due to new openings like Aventino in Bethesda and the new pinseria La Cascina on Capitol Hill, among the many great Italian offerings found across the city. And those are but a few of plenty of recent openings in town; check New on Resy for more.
  • Marcel’s Milestone: March also brings a major moment for one of Washington’s preeminent fine-dining institutions. Marcel’s By Robert Wiedmaier celebrates its 25th anniversary with a six-course dinner of fancy French dishes and live piano performances to keep the mood festive and fun.
