11 Great D.C. Tasting Menus Under $100
Published:
The tasting menu has become one of the DMV’s great pleasures and, lately, one of its great expenses. Many marquee names now climb upwards hundreds of dollars per person — and that’s without a beverage pairing.
But the multi-course, hand-yourself-over-to-the-chef experience doesn’t always have to come with a three-figure bill. Across D.C. and Northern Virginia, a serious cohort of kitchens are still turning out ambitious, seasonal cooking for less than $100, and sometimes a lot less.
The rules for this list are simple: a tasting menu or prix-fixe you can book on Resy or Tock, priced under $100 per person, spanning the District and the Virginia suburbs and just about every cuisine worth craving. Pro tip: A few of the sharpest deals happen at lunch. Here’s where to go.
