The Resy Hit List: Where In D.C. You’ll Want to Eat Right Now

By

There’s no question we hear more often: Where should I go eat? And while we at Resy know it’s an honor to be the friend who everyone asks for restaurant advice, we also know it’s a complicated task. That’s where the Resy Hit List comes in.

We’ve designed it to be your essential resource for dining in and around Washington, D.C.: a monthly-updated (and newly expanded!) guide to the restaurants in that you won’t want to miss — tonight or any night.

Four Things In D.C. Not to Miss This Month

  • Starr Power: Who says winter is slow for restaurants? Not in Washington. Things are heating up as we welcome restaurant juggernaut Pastis (by way of NYC) thanks to restaurateur Stephen Starr, who already brought French to D.C. with Le Diplomat. Read all about it here, and book here (dinner now, but expect brunch soon). And find other recent openings in New On Resy.
  • Heading Due South for Mardi Gras: Navy Yard’s Southern BBQ restaurant Due South celebrates Mardi Gras on February 13. Tickets include an all-you-can-eat Cajun buffet by chef Rusty Holman, plus live music from D.C. soul band Dream City Brass. Get tickets here, and get them soon. This Big Easy party sells out fast.
  • A Certain Day Approaches: Love or hate Valentine’s Day, District restaurants are preparing special menus to make you fall in love with their dishes. We are crushing on the Galentine’s Day wine menu at Immigrant Food (book here), and a similar Galentine’s cocktail making class at Boqueria Dupont (book here). If you want more inspo, check our Resy Events page.
  • Centrolina Chef Table: We are excited for the continuation of Amy Brandwein’s Chefs Table dinner series. This year she is kicking it off with Casa Teresa chef Ruben Garcia on February 28. Together they will prepare a 4-course meal in the exclusive chef’s salon at Centrolina, with flavors and wine pairings from Italy and Spain. Book here.
