School is back in session, which means college-centric neighborhoods like Foggy Bottom and Georgetown are coming back to life. The latest addition to the west end of the city includes a massive new food hall — Western Market, with one of the city’s hottest restaurant groups housed inside.

Fall also means cooler temps and a chance to embrace outdoor wine gardens and patios that are the perfect place to raise a toast. Meanwhile, Washington, D.C. continues to grow its roster of restaurants offering critically acclaimed tasting menus.
