New on Resy: Old Lady Gang, Serena Pastificio, The Beverly, and More

Whether you’re in the mood for breakfast, lunch, or both, you’ll likely find it at chef-owner Virgil Harper’s all-day spot where you can feast on all your favorite brunch standards: chicken and waffles, French toast, a corner store breakfast sandwich, avocado toast, and even a lobster waffle, too.

Fans of Bravo TV’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta” will recognize sisters Joyce Jones, Bertha Jones, and Nora Wilcox — otherwise known as the Old Lady Gang — who are the inspiration behind this Southern-style eatery. Joyce’s daughter, singer-songwriter Kandi Burruss-Tucker and her husband launched this low-key-glamorous establishment to honor traditional family recipes, so expect Aunt Nora’s fried catfish strips, Aunt Bertha’s fried chicken, and Mama Joyce’s BBQ rib tips.

Forget the garlic bread and chicken Parm. Italian-born chef Christian Darcoli crossed the continent from Servino Ristorante in the Bay Area town of Tiburon, Calif., to bring Atlantans the real thing. Settle into the rustic-elegant earth-toned dining room or grab a seat on the greenery-framed patio and enjoy Darcoli’s just-like-in-Italy caponata, trenette al pesto, brasato piemontese, and more.

Like sports, craft beer, and comfort food with a Caribbean accent? You won’t want to bypass this high-spirited sports bar and restaurant in the heart of Atlanta. There’s plenty to choose from on the menu, but don’t sleep on Haitian-Jamaican chef Dudley Isadore’s jerk chicken egg rolls.

There’s plenty to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and all points in between at this smart hotel bar. Whatever you do, definitely order a plate of the house-cured Saltwood ham or a selection of artisanal cheeses from four different Georgia creameries.

Niki Pattharakositkul, whose family owns the popular Wild Ginger in suburban Chamblee, was only 26 when she branched out on her own with this handsome brick-and-wood-framed restaurant. It didn’t take Atlantans long to discover her homestyle Thai fare — or the signature cocktails (Ginger Martini, Tamarind Margarita) at one of the longest and liveliest bars in town.

A homey-feeling restaurant in (appropriately) an old Victorian-style house, this was the second in what is now Niki Pattharakositkul’s four-location mini-empire of exceptional Thai restaurants. Pattharakositkul serves the kind of food she ate growing up, and Atlantans can’t get enough, for good reason.

Expect American fare with international accents and a warm, casual dining room with brick walls and hardwood floors at this charmer, a onetime 19th-century general store, from chef Kevin Nelson, formerly of Terra Bistro in Vail, Colo.
