The American Express® Gold Card and Resy Present: The Boardwalk

New York – June 2, 2022 – On July 9, 2022, The American Express Gold Card x Resy Present: The Boardwalk will take over Los Angeles’s famed Santa Monica Pier for a special dining event featuring reimagined boardwalk food and games on the waterfront. American Express and Resy will join forces with some of LA’s most popular restaurants, including Angler, Cobi’s, Eszett, Ggiata, Guelaguetza, Gwen, Hotville Chicken, Konbi, Majordomo, Petit Trois, Pizzana and more, who will put their creative spin on classic boardwalk treats, and Gold Card Dining Credit partners Grubhub, The Cheesecake Factory®, Goldbelly, Wine.com, Milk Bar and Shake Shack. A live DJ, a half-pipe skate ramp, roaming stilt walkers and a spin on boardwalk games will complete a day of nostalgic summer fun. Tickets go on sale Monday, June 13 at Resy.com/gold-boardwalk. American Express Gold Card Members are eligible for a special member-only ticket price of $50 with exclusive perks*.

Gold Card Partner Experiences
Today, American Express announced it is adding three new participating partners, Goldbelly, Wine.com and Milk Bar, to the $120 Dining Credit on the Gold Card, in addition to existing Dining Credit partners and Card Member favorites which include, Grubhub, The Cheesecake Factory and select Shake Shack locations. Once enrolled, American Express Gold Card Members can earn up to $10 in statement credits monthly when they pay with their Card at participating partners**.

To celebrate the new and existing Dining Credit partners, The Boardwalk will feature:

• Grubhub Cotton Candy Stand – Enjoy an enormous, orange-colored cotton candy treat delivered by Grubhub
• The Shake Shack Bean Bag Burger Knockdown – Grab a burger-shaped bean bag and get three tries to knock down a wall of vintage soda pop bottles. Then, refuel with the signature ShackBurger or exclusive Shake Shack Hot Dog
• Milk Bar Dunk Tank – Step right up, take aim, and take a chance at dunking friends (and chefs!) at the Milk Bar Dunk Tank. Those brave enough to get dunked will be rewarded with a towel and prize, while everyone else snacks on a Milk Bar sweet treat
• com Lounge – Sip Wine.com’s summer selections at the Wine.com Lounge. Order a glass of white, rosé, or cool off with a boozy wine popsicle
• Goldbelly Photobooth – Smile and pose in an immersive Goldbelly photobooth
• The Cheesecake Factory Surprises – Win prizes from The Cheesecake Factory

Restaurant Lineup
Guests will enjoy boardwalk-inspired fare from 12 of LA’s top restaurants, curated by Resy: Angler, Cobi’s, Eszett, Ggiata, Guelaguetza, Gwen, Hotville Chicken, Konbi, Majordomo, Petit Trois, Pizzana and more. Plus, official beer partner Stella Artois will be serving ice cold cans from a Stella Airstream.

Entertainment, Games & Rides
In between bites, guests can experience classic boardwalk entertainment such as roaming stilt walkers, watch professional skateboarders on a half-pipe skate ramp, a nod to LA’s iconic skateboard culture, and enjoy live music from a DJ throughout the day. Gold Card Members will also receive one ride pass for any ride within the Pier’s amusement park, Pacific Park.

*Ticket & Event Details
Tickets for Amex Gold Card x Resy Present: The Boardwalk will be available to the public beginning Monday, June 13 at 9:00 a.m. PT at Resy.com/gold-boardwalk or in the Resy App. Event will be held on July 9, 2022; tickets can be purchased for one of two time slots: 3:00-6:00 p.m. or 7:00-10:00 p.m. PT and attendees may access the event for up to three hours during the time slot for which their ticket was purchased (limited to 6 tickets per guest). American Express Gold Card Members with an eligible Card linked to their Resy account may purchase the Gold Card Member ticket for $50 (ticket price includes all food items, two alcoholic beverages, unlimited non-alcoholic beverages and one ride pass for any ride within Pacific Park). The General Admission ticket can be purchased by anyone through Resy for $75 (ticket price includes all food items and unlimited non-alcoholic beverages). All tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and will be delivered electronically. Must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcoholic beverages. Please drink responsibly. American Express reserves the right to remove any person for inappropriate behavior including, but not limited to, conduct that is disruptive, abusive, or violent.
