Pregame with a celebratory brunch…

At a hot spot that’s opening up for brunch just for the day: Good Good Culture Club. The annual family-style holiday brunch will take place on both Dec. 30 and 31, from 11 am – 3 pm. Expect a $70 set menu, with a long list of treats like duck congee and turmeric scallion waffles. More info here.

And then get a crash course in Champagne…

At Ungrafted. The Dogpatch wine bar serves up excellent food everyday, but on New Year’s Eve, every one of the six courses on chef David Aviles’ menu will be matched with a different Champagne. Yes, really. An-all Champagne pairing. Tickets here.

Enact your New Year’s resolution…

Of becoming a regular at a most perfect restaurant: Outerlands. It’s the kind of place that feels at once special and everyday, beckoning you with comforting classics like warm housemade bread, roast chicken, burgers, and more.

If you’re in the Mission, Penny Roma is your move. For New Year’s Eve, expect a five-course menu ($135) full of their signature fresh pasta. Tickets here.

Looking for something a little more affordable and, say, closer to Noe Valley? Uma Casa will be showcasing its delightful Portuguese cuisine via a four-course menu for $85. Book here.

Or hit up one of our all-times faves in Liholiho Yacht Club, which will be putting out a special Ohana Style Celebration Dinner featuring all-new dishes. Check it out here. And yes, you get the whole menu.

Or check out a buzzy newcomer…

By snagging a Resy at one of the city’s newest spots:

Everyone’s abuzz about 7 Adams, the stellar restaurant from chefs David Fisher and Serena Chow Fisher, who you may remember from the bygone Marlena. It’s been one of the toughest reservations in town since opening, but seats are available for the special New Year’s Eve seven-course tasting menu. Tickets here.

Over on Valencia, Barberio Osteria is doing special things with fresh pasta and Italian cuisine. On New Year’s Eve, chef-owner Nick Kelly (also of AltoVino) will whip up a four-course menu with choices like scarpinocc filled with taleggio cheese and cappelletti filled with roasted winter squash. See the menu here.

One of our favorites, Abacá, will be offering up more than 12 courses (!) of modern Filipino deliciousness, including wagyu short rib adobo, squid ink pancit noodles, and much more. Book here.

Or indulge in a multi-course menu as you ring in 2024 at SPQR, starting with antipasti and giving you a choice of pasta, entree, and dessert. Book here.

Unless you’d prefer a proper party…

Then you can head straight to Shuggie’s Trash Pizza + Natural Wine for a New Year’s Eve party like no other. They’re calling it “the house party you always wish existed” and will feature all-you-can-drink libations, plus pizza, DJs, and bubbles. Tickets here.
