More than just a chef’s tasting menu, Georgia Boy is an amazing evening experience. Customers pre-pay for tickets for one of four nightly seatings at chef Joey Ward’s fine dining restaurant-within-a-restaurant (it’s inside Southern Belle). Diners will be presented with upwards of 15 courses of unique dishes, like the signature (yet always different) trip down Buford Highway, whose recent iteration included poori chicken, hot and numbing jerky, and “chorizo” cachapa, among other surprising and whimsical eats.

Chef Atsushi Hayakawa curates the finest fish selection, sourced from Tokyo’s Toyuso market and all over the globe, delivering an unforgettable 16-course omakase dinner. When you’re at the chef’s table, he treats you like you’re at his home; he’s personable, conversational, and educational, not only about the origins of the fish and the dish but also the proper ways to prepare and eat each course. 

You can’t even talk about tasting menus in this city without starting with Bacchanalia. No matter how many times you go, you’re always sure to enjoy a remarkable meal at this three-decade mainstay of Westside dining. Enjoy a four-course chef’s menu with highlights like steak tartare, crab fritters, ricotta agnolotti, and a dry-aged New York strip. 

Offering two reservation-only tasting menus of six to eight courses with optional wine pairings, diners can enjoy Lazy Betty’s relaxed, yet sophisticated, tasting menu at the chef’s counter or in the dining room. Don’t miss the caviar service, served with steamed milk buns and scallion pancakes, before enjoying the well-executed menu, inspired by the Chinese roots and Southern upbringing of chef Ron Hsu and partner chef Aaron Phillips. Lazy Betty also offers kid-friendly menu options, when parties include children — just give the restaurant a heads up when you make your reservation.

Located in the St. Regis Hotel, Atlas offers a sophisticated fine dining experience. With the recent launch of Atlas Underground, a summer pop-up in the Maisonette at the hotel, diners can enjoy a “gastronomic adventure highlighting powerful flavors, textures, and the freshest ingredients.” The eight-course tasting menu requires full-table participation for $210 per person.
