The Resy Guide to the Bay Area’s 2022 Michelin Guide Winners

It’s that time of year: The Michelin stars are back in the Bay.

Below are the Northern California restaurant honorees that are available to book on Resy — from newly starred hits (a new star for Osito!) to the established heavyhitters (hello again, Kin Khao and Gary Danko!) to a host of excellent Bib Gourmands, a designation meant to represent more casual and affordable dining (Jo’s Modern Thai! Kin Khao

The original Kin Khao is finally back open, and a revisit serves as a reminder how special Pim Techamuanvivit’s celebrated Thai spot really is. Both fiercely authentic and endlessly innovative, it’s still at the top of its game, with curry pastes house-made daily, and the ingredients tapping extraordinary roster of farmers and purveyors.

Husband and wife David Fisher and Serena Chow have created one of the most endearing, delightful additions to San Francisco’s roster of tasting-menu restaurants with this low-key spot in Bernal Heights.

Mister Jiu’s

Mister Jiu’s is Brandon Jew’s testament to the best of Chinese American dining (from the flashy gold lotus chandeliers to the indoor tables’ built-in lazy susans) with a Bay Area sensibility that radiates. It has redefined Chinese American food in America, and we absolutely love it.

Osito

Chef-owner Seth Stowaway (Bar Agricole, Trou Normand) cooks every one of the 20-plus nightly offerings with a wood-burning oven and hearth — no burners, no induction cooktops. Look for hyper-local, hyper-seasonal produce turned into spectacular food.

Jon Darsky and his crew are slinging some of the Bay Area’s best Neapolitan pies from this stylish Nob Hill pizzeria and restaurant. Order some frozen pizza after your dinner, too.
