Let’s face it — chef Chris Leach’s pastas far outstrip anything you can make at home. Manteca was one of the best places to eat pasta pre-lockdown, and its chefs have imagined a menu of bold pasta dishes as meal kits, as well as housemade salumi, mains, and desserts for takeaway and delivery in east London and parts of north London. Trailblazing chef Wei Guirong continues to deliver her signature hand-pulled biang biang noodles, cool liangpi noodles, and Shaanxi cumin pork “burgers” to appreciative diners across the city. Widely regarded as the city’s best high-end Indian restaurant, Gymkhana has returned with an acclaimed lineup of dishes, like tandoori masala lamb chops, kid goat methi keema, and the magnificent muntjac biryani.
