1. Fare
Clerkenwell
Because when Michael Sager opens a new restaurant, London sits up and takes notice. Not content with perfecting the modern wine bar with Sager + Wilde in Hackney and Bethnal Green, the restaurateur has teamed with bartender par excellence Marcis Dzelzainis to open Fare, a relaxed bar and small plates spot in Clerkenwell. Upstairs, there’s a stunning horseshoe-shaped bar with excellent cocktails and bar food, while a downstairs restaurant offers Mediterranean-leaning small plates and a hefty list of boutique wines.
