By

Lineup includes an East Coast x West Coast collab with Mister Jiu’s and Four Horsemen, a travel-inspired series with London’s Rochelle Canteen, and five nights of music-inspired menus with hit DC Burmese restaurant Thamee

Resy, the NYC-based reservations platform used by many of the world’s best restaurants, along with parent company American Express, announces three brand new takeout series for fall and winter as part of its Resy At Home Specials offerings:

  • November 13-21 (SF, NYC) — A bi-coastal, Chinese banquet-inspired collaboration between Chef Brandon Jew of Mister Jiu’s, and Chef Nick Curtola, of Brooklyn’s The Four Horsemen, presented by the American Express Gold Card
  • November 7, 14, 21, 28 (LON) — A travel-inspired takeout series based out of London with chef Margot Henderson and restaurateur Melanie Arnold, owners of the singular Rochelle Canteen
  • December 7-12 (DC) — A music-influenced takeout experience from mother-daughter duo of Thamee in DC, with their in-house Music Director Marcus “Shmoody” Moody, presented by the American Express Gold Card

Resy At Home Specials are takeout-based series created in collaboration with Resy restaurants, enjoyed in the comfort of diners’ own homes. They allow restaurants to create multi-course curated meals, crafted around a story or specific inspiration, and package it up for an inspired at-home dinner experience. Often the themed and never-before-seen takeout menus are accompanied by curated playlists, videos of the chefs, decor to elevate a night-in, and other add-ons that unlock the magic of a restaurant in an at-home setting.

Resy is partnering with restaurants in San Francisco, New York City, London and Washington, D.C. for these ticketed takeout experiences in an effort to continue supporting restaurants in the current dining landscape, especially as colder weather arrives. Resy will continue to build its “Resy At Home” category of out-of-restaurant experiences, allowing diners to engage with their favorite restaurants beyond the restaurants’ four walls and giving chefs the much-appreciated opportunity to flex their creative muscles.

Each event in the series utilizes Resy At Home technology, a suite of new tools including Ticketing, Pickup,  and coming soon: Add-Ons, which will let restaurants add an additional revenue stream to their businesses (i.e. curated meal kits, themed takeout packages, ticketed virtual experiences), without adding another technology platform. For these three series, partner restaurants will use Resy’s Ticketing tool, which is available to all Resy restaurants within their Resy OS dashboard.

London’s Iconic Rochelle Canteen Partners With Resy On Exclusive Meal Kit Series, Each Week Inspired By Chefs Around The Globe — Every Saturday In November

Each Saturday in November, London’s favourite restaurant duo — Margot Henderson and Melanie Arnold of Rochelle Canteen — will curate exclusive meal kits inspired by their chef-friends from around the world. Diners will bring home the boxes — complete with drinks, table decorations, and Rochelle’s signature style — and be transported to their favourite dining cities, from New York City to Copenhagen, Manila and more.

Through trips abroad and hosting international visitors over the years, Margot and Melanie have formed deep bonds with women leading their own pioneering restaurants around the world. In a nod to them, and out of a bit of travel nostalgia, the meal kits will take inspiration from female chefs they have cooked with or whose restaurants they have loved eating in.

To kick off, the November 7th meal kit will be an ode to New York City’s West Village gems, I Sodi and Via Carota, the Tuscan Italian restaurants helmed by James Beard Award winners Jodi Williams & Rita Sodi. The following Saturday (14/11) will be inspired by Parisian Chef Rose Chalalai Singh, combining Thai cooking with the flavours of Mallorca and the city of love. The third week (21/11) will evoke the spirit of Copenhagen thanks to influences from Chef Mia Christiansen of Barr and a menu of Scandinavian specials. The final kit (11/28), inspired by Chef Margarita Fores, will bring diners to Manila through a menu of Filipino-inspired classics.

Meal kits will contain pre-prepared components and ingredients, plus instructions for cooking and assembling dishes at home accompanied by a personal video message from Margot and Melanie. A “premium” box will also include curated table decorations to complete the experience. Meals will be available to collect from Rochelle Canteen in Shoreditch at pre-reserved times.

Meal kits go on general sale on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at  3:00 PM GMT (10:00am ET). Meal Kits go on sale beginning Monday, October 19, 2020 at 3:00 PM GMT (10:00am ET) for American Express® Card Members who get exclusive 48 hour presale ticket access.
