The Miami Restaurants We Loved in November
If there’s one thing you must know about the people who work at Resy, it’s that we genuinely love restaurants …
This month, Team Resy shared a very special branzino, discovered a new kind of Taco Tuesday, indulged in fried zucchini blossoms, and attended a special dinner hosted by an inspiring chef.
At the wonderful Italian restaurant…
… that is Mamo, where fantastic service and great recommendations abound, here are my top picks from each of the menu categories.
For antipasti, get the carote, or roasted carrots with whipped ricotta, pistachio, and orange. For primi, the gnocchi croccanti (crispy gnocchi) with leeks and gorgonzola fondue. And of course, a delicious tiramisu for dessert. Would 100% recommend as Mamo’s got it all: ambiance, service, and some of the best food in Miami.

Sharing is caring…
… especially when it comes to the The Drexel’s newest menu addition, a branzino that feeds three or more. It’s a popular fish on numerous menus around town, but this one’s pretty unique: the three-pound fish caught off the coast of Greece is flown in and then stuffed with olive tapenade, shallots, fennel, basil, and mint. It’s then seasoned with chef Nano Crespo’s housemade lemon salt blend, grilled over charcoal, and slathered with his special salmoriglio, which takes this simple dish to another level. We were instantly transported to the Mediterranean’s shores.

What a privilege to attend…
… “An Evening with Massimo Bottura,” an event held at Torno Subito with fellow Resy colleagues and cherished Resy partners. We were first treated to a cocktail hour fireside chat with chef Bottura himself, where he passionately spoke about his nonprofit, Food for Soul, which fights food waste and social isolation. Then came the delightful multi-course menu — my highlights were the crispy lasagna, the tortellini, and the decadently light and whimsical berry dessert. We left with a Resy gift bag filled with chef Bottura’s branded olive oil, balsamic glaze, and his cookbook. What a way to spend my birthday.

No expense was spared…
… in the design of Mother Wolf in Miami — from the pasta atelier, beautiful foyer with its fountains and tile, to the opulent dining room — it all lives up to the hype. I loved the fried zucchini blossoms, which were as light as a feather, and the carbonara. We went for date night but I’d recommend going with a group of four or more, if possible, to try as much of the menu as possible.

I’ve dined at this beautiful restaurant…
… from chef Giorgio Rapicavoli a few times, but most recently to try Eating House’s new Taco Tuesday. The Korean barbecue tacos with sesame miso sauce and cilantro, and the buffalo shrimp tacos with a spicy ranch slaw and pickled carrots were a great entry into the Taco Tuesday ecosystem. Excited to go back for the whole menu! (Especially brunch.)
