Women play a significant role in this field – according to the US Department Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), 61% of adult women have worked in a restaurant at some point in their life. Filling jobs from chefs and owners to servers and managers, women are slowly making their mark in what’s been typically a male-dominated industry.
