Now Open on Resy: Homer, Harry’s Beach House, Oddfellows, and More

The menu at this Beacon Hill destination showcases Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavors built with the best Pacific Northwest ingredients. Think bright, herby dips for dragging house-made pita through, and proteins and veggies roasted and charred after a trip through the centerpiece wood-fired oven. The oven does double duty, adding a bit of coziness to the room. Don’t miss the phenomenal soft serve in rotating seasonal flavors like chamomile, preserved lemon, or quince.

A longstanding favorite of the Capitol Hill WFH set, the chic sun-speckled spot has an even more allure with its sidewalk patio. The best not-so-secret secret is the hidden back patio for all-day dining (reservation only for large groups at night). The menu is exactly what you want in a neighborhood joint: Days filled with strawberry scones and breakfast paninis, and nights bookended with comforting classics like mac and cheese or meatballs and polenta.

Beach-chic may not be a vibe that Seattle generally excels at, but this Alki Beach haunt knocks it out of the park with water views and zero kitsch. Cocktails are mandatory, especially inspired concoctions like a purple-hued gin and tonic made with butterfly pea flower. Favorites from sibling Harry’s Fine Foods make an appearance here, but roast chicken with schmaltzy croutons, fried oysters, and Dungeness crab dip all taste better by the water.

This charming Capitol Hill restaurant has the feeling of eating at your friend’s house — if your friend is an excellent cook, impeccable curator of wine, and the sort who can keep container plants alive (the patio is covered in them). The dinner menu is simple and classic Americana: a solid burger, housemade pasta with Bolognese; and the roast chicken with schmaltzy croutons. Brunch, with cornmeal pancakes and an epic egg sandwich, is available on weekends.

This street-food-focused spot deserves its place in the upper echelon of local Thai restaurants. The spacious Redmond location is decked in a museum’s worth of beautiful Thai cultural artifacts, which is as good a setting as any for chicken satay, crispy fried fish, and deeply flavored curries. Don’t skimp on dessert: mango sticky rice or fried bananas are a must.

Like any sushi bar worth its toro, Flo is relatively minimalist by design — except when the plates come out. Traditionalists approve of the gorgeous sashimi and nigiri platters with things like glistening saba, perfect halibut, and hamachi. Things get a bit more wild with creative appetizers and rolls, including cured salmon tostadas with jalapeño jam. The all-in omakase is one for the books, especially when paired with some of the select sake on offer.

In a veritable sea of solid dining options, this Portland-based sushi chain’s U Village location stands out not only for its signature rolls and ultra-fresh nigiri, but also for its sustainable seafood sourcing. Though it’s hard to bypass the fish, the wagyu beef burger is a sleeper hit, and not just among the raw-fish averse.

With glass doors that roll up, and a patio dotted with fire pits, Tukwila’s Hotel Interurban restaurant is comfortable regardless of our typical temperamental weather. Breakfast brings the sort of dishes best eaten in bed — donut French toast! breakfast burrito! — but dinner necessitates a knife and fork, with hefty plates like a 42-day dry-aged ribeye or cedar plank-roasted salmon.
