Because celebrate The Riddler’s arrival in New York City with a choice bottle of Champagne. This East Coast outpost of the bubbly-focused San Francisco bar boasts the addition of raw bar offerings and a burger so good you’ll want two, plus the caviar service favored at the original.

Because just when you thought the New York slice game was as good as it could get, the Franks hit the ball out of the park, teaming with Chad Robertson and Chris Bianco to craft an ethereal slice. Having sandwiched F&F Pizzeria between Frankies Spuntino and Franks Wine Bar, Castronovo and Facinelli are now operating a full-fledged Italian wonderland, with no shortage of edible delights.

Because Masa vets gone casual is a narrative we can all get behind. Nami Nori’s focus on taco-shaped temaki only adds to the appeal. The restaurant is outfitted in blond wood and ample bar seats, granting diners front-row seats to sushi chefs crafting handrolls with scallops and XO sauce; toro and scallion; and maitaki mushrooms and truffle.

Because stop and smell the roses: Il Fiorista is open for business. With a name that translates to “The Florist,” the restaurant is run by an Italian couple intent on sharing the many uses and benefits of flowers—through food and drink, bouquets sold on-site, workshops, and more.

Because Rhodora’s strict, zero-waste philosophy means you can dine care-free. Snack on seafood conservas and chicken-liver mousse; sip on something from the stellar, all-natural wine list; and take comfort in an entirely sustainable experience.

Because Evil Twin’s first brick-and-mortar brewery has landed in Ridgewood, signalling the end of its days as a nomadic brewery. The cult-favorite beer brand is now producing and pouring brews with names like “Glazed Carrot Crockpot” and “Wait the L Train Isn’t Closing?” on-site. The greenhouse-styled taproom is reason enough to visit.

Because Gabe Stulman’s latest draws inspiration from Clamato, a chic seafood enclave in Paris. Kickstart your meal with a half-dozen Littlenecks, then spring for Maine uni—served with lemon jam and crackers—and the house favorite Filet o’ Fish sandwich.

Because if summer’s go-to treat is ice cream, fall is for affogatos. This Roman-inspired ice cream features ten fresh-made flavors—think creamy caffé bianco stracciatella and fruity apricot olive oil—five of which are daily specials. Because the Theater District beacon has reopened with a makeover after a fire caused it to shutter a few months back. Menu mainstays like crudo and seafood-flecked spaghetti remain, but are now being served alongside new meaty options—like veal Milanese—and an expanded wine list.

Because skip the upstate apple farm, and head to the new Upper West Side outpost of Danny Meyer’s all-day café for apple caramel cronuts, instead.
