When the legendary Wisconsin supper club of the same name closed in 2014, the duo bought up a chunk of its estate to furnish their now-open, multi-concept destination boasting contemporary Turkish food, ultra-kitschy decor, alluring cocktails, and plenty more.

Because notable wine expert Joe Campanale has teamed up with Ashley Rath, former chef de cuisine of The Grill, on this Prospect Heights wine bar, which showcases a simple yet sophisticated bill of fare. Classy summertime vibes, right this way.

Because balmy evenings call for a game of pétanque in Maison Yaki’s backyard, followed by French-Japanese skewers a la chef Greg Baxtrom. Spring for a yuzu gin & tonic on tap, then load up on combos like asparagus and bearnaise, chicken breast and sauce allemande, and lamb leg with herbes de Provence.

Savor the bright and airy space in all its glory, with craveable Mediterranean plates to boot. Pro-tip: the cast-iron Greek chicken is the type of dish you could eat every day.

Because can’t get out of the city? Treat yourself to a brilliant seafood dinner over waterfront views, courtesy of Jean-Georges Vongerichten. After all, summer cues cravings for snapper ceviche, crispy soft-shell crabs, and fish and chips—all on The Fulton’s menu.

Because brand-new Gowanus darling Public Records bills itself as “a hi-fi cocktail bar showcasing rare records played on a custom analog sound system alongside a thoughtfully conceived vegan food menu.” In other words, it’s Brooklyn’s latest hot spot, and the on-tap libations (think hibiscus vodka and mezcal melon) are splendid.

Because ever since Caroline Fidanza closed her beloved Saltie, the sandwich scene has suffered—that is, until now. The chef and culinary director of the Tarlow Group recently introduced a sandwich menu at Marlow & Daughters, and while it’s more meaty and Italian-leaning than the original shop’s offerings, her new creations are a welcome addition, indeed.
