Because Sixth and Waller is a modern update on hotel fare, with an Austin twist. Think queso eggs Benedict, pomegranate cotija guacamole, and a good old-fashioned diner burger. Because North Austin is getting a taste of South Austin’s favorite neighborhood restaurant, District Kitchen. The newly-opened second location in North Shoal Creek boasts craft cocktails, grilled meat and fish, and one hell of a burger.

Because it’s Korean like mom used to make. At Oseyo, owner Lynn Miller draws inspiration from the Korean dishes her mother made during her childhood, serving cheffy home-style fare. Sample all the Korean hits (bibimbap, kimchi jigae, mandu) with a side of soju, and Korean ingredient-inspired cocktails.

Because it’s Kyoten, the beloved namesake, reimagined for the next generation. Once lauded by critics, Kyoten Sushiko shuttered when chef Otto Phan moved to Chicago. But he has now trained Sarah Cook to steer the ship, and she’s offering omakase in the revamped space.
